As the founder of Pelican, Nicole has over twenty years of public accounting experience offering high level tax and advisory services. In 2001, Nicole graduated cum laude from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Prior to forming Pelican, Nicole worked with Big Four KPMG and a regional firm. Her experience includes individual and business income taxes, fiduciary taxes, and gift and estate taxes. Nicole primarily provides services to high net worth family groups, with clients in a variety of industries including oil and gas, timber, automotive, real estate, manufacturing, retail, and agriculture.
She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA), Tax & Estate Planning Council of Shreveport (TEPC), Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS), Bossier Chamber of Commerce, and the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Nicole is also authorized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as a CPA.

John has over 30 years of public accounting experience handling tax compliance and consulting for high net worth individuals and their related business and charitable interests. John also holds the AICPA Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Credential, a designation exclusive to CPAs signifying the powerful combination of extensive tax experience and comprehensive knowledge of financial planning. John’s has worked with a variety of industries including oil & gas, timber, dealerships, construction, services, real estate, political campaigns, and other tax-exempt organizations. John received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University and his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.

John graduated in 2022 from Louisiana Tech with a master’s degree in accounting. Prior to working for Pelican, he worked as a tax associate in various industries for the international Big Four accounting firm, PWC. John also has specialized experience in the oil and gas industry, including bachelor’s and master's degrees in geology with working experience in the field of geophysical and geological consulting.
